We are seeking a highly qualified expert to join our client in the Fiji Islands.

Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Qualifications:

• With a Diploma or trade certificate in Mechanical or Heavy Automotive Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanism of a diesel engine.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms with strong diagnostic skills.
• Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and rear equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair and service of diesel vehicles, engines, trailers, and other equipment in line with relevant transport legislation and standards
• Run and analyse diagnostic tests on vehicle engines
• Use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex problems and make accurate repairs.
  Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and manufacturer recommendations for diesel engines and equipment.

Fiji sugar corporation limited (FSC) is Fiji’s sugar milling company and the largest in the South Pacific. It was incorporated by an act of parliament in 1972, to take over the milling activities from SPSM and CSR limited in 1973. Fsc operates three sugar mills, two on Viti Levu in Lautoka and Rarawai in Ba and a third in Labasa in Vanua Levu. During the crushing season, usually from May to December, Fsc is the largest private sector employer with a workforce not exceeding 1,800.
