Environmental Specialist

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field;
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years of specialized experience in relevant areas;
• Strong knowledge of environmental and social impact assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies.
• Experience with projects funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) or World Bank (WB) is highly desirable
• Proficient in English, with strong skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing;
• Filipino citizen who is currently residing here in the Philippines.
• The successful candidate will be working on the Land and Maritime Connectivity Project in Solomon

Responsibilities:

• Document Preparation: Updating the CESMP (Contractor Environment & Social Management Plan), and preparing and submitting documents related to environmental incidents, health and safety, traffic management, and waste disposal.
• Responsible for the implementation of the Construction Environmental and Social Management Plan (CESMP), including but not limited to the Traffic
• Management Plan, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements;
• Responsible for managing and leading the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team;
• Responsible for communication and coordination with the local community and other stakeholders affected by the construction;
• Responsible for liaising, coordinating, and following up on HSE matters with the Consultant and the Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MID);
• Perform other related Environmental Manager duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate environmental and social considerations into project planning and execution.
• Manage and resolve any environmental or social issues that arise during project implementation.
• SALARY is negotiable depending on the candidate’s skills and experience.
