Sr. Technician MTU

Qualifications:

• Certificates from an MTU authorized training center on the following Models
• Series 2000M ( M1+M3 )* 3 or 6 ( this will qualify the technician up to QL4 service level which means full engine overhauling ) with a dedicated on hand experience not less than 5 years
• Series 4000M ( M1+M3) *3 or 5 ( this will qualify the technician up to QL4 service level which means full engine overhauling ) with dedicated on hand experience not less than 5 years
• Additionally : ( not necessary to have but will empower technical experience ) Certificates from an MTU authorized training center on the following Models : · Series 183M ( M1+M3) 4692

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, start-ups, and repairs on generators; including automatic transfer switches, diesel, and gaseous engines
• Promote safe and efficient operation of duties.
• Service, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul engines, genset systems and their electronic and mechanical systems
• Lead on-site work, maintain active list of project timelines and prioritize job tasks
• Perform field inspections of failed parts and write reports to avoid future incidents
• Instruct customers in safe engine operation, shutdown procedures and troubleshooting
• Maintain engine, system and equipment log books Maintain detailed records of daily activities
