MEDIUM VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN/SUPERVISOR

Qualifications

  • Male Applicants
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Medium Voltage Technician or Supervisor in the installation, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medium voltage principles, equipment, and components, including switchgear, transformers, cables, and protective devices.
  • Proficiency in electrical testing, diagnostic procedures, and troubleshooting techniques for medium voltage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission medium voltage electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, cables, and protective devices.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and configuration of medium voltage systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to plan and execute medium voltage installations according to project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections on medium voltage equipment to detect and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, measurements, and analysis to troubleshoot electrical faults, insulation breakdowns, and equipment failures.
  • Repair or replace defective components, conductors, or insulation to restore medium voltage system integrity and functionality.
