SMAW / GTAW COMBINATION WELDER

Qualifications:

  • Training & minimum 3 years experience in welding work preferably in welding of pressure vessel, heat exchangers, tank, piping at various welding positions. OR,
  • Welder A: Should have 4 years experience in 6 G position=GTAW + SMAW, GTAW+FCAW, 6G position + machine welding =GTAW + SAW, Machine welding, orbital welding process Material CS, SS CuNi & exotic materials such as Alloy 20, incolly, inconel, Al etc
  • Welder B: Should have 2 years experience in 6 G position=GTAW + SMAW, GTAW+FCAW or SMAW + SAW materials CS, SS, CuNi etc.
  • Welder C: Should have 1 year welding experience in 6G OR 3G & 1F + 2F position & in SMAW or GTAW + SMAW process with CS materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform the welding work according to applicable approved welding process as per weld map, drawing & WPS.
  • Arrangement of welding material to perform welding such as arrangement of welding cables, quivers, machine, welding consumables, tools and safety gears at work place.
  • Handling of welding electrodes, consumables as per the general guideline of electrode manufacturer to perform welding work as per WPS.
