Geologist Engineer

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), or similar, relevant discipline, coupled with 8 years’ experience in Geotechnical Engineering and Civil Material Laboratory testing.
• Understand the code of design, testing methods and analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong report writing skills, organizing information in a coherent and logical way.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, employing a risk-based approach.
• Good technical knowledge and application in soil/rock mechanics.
• Candidates with extensive laboratory expertise, particularly in asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
• We are in need of someone with a stronger background and a substantial amount of hands-on experience specifically within laboratory settings

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage large scale projects. This will include coordinating the preparation of cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, client reports and monitoring project progress, project scheduling, resourcing, and meeting deadlines
• Leading the Laboratory Team, accessing the testing methods AS/NZS, prepare quality plan and review laboratory testing report.
• Lead the communication with Laboratory Accreditation agencies (IANZ & NATA) which include report/ monitoring of Laboratory equipment’s etc.
• Support the growth of the geotechnical team through identifying, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, both internal and external.
