Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Mining

Qualifications

• 3 years experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, preferably in the mining industry.
• Vocational Diploma at least 1 year/ At least 1 in College
• Complete documents – COE, Diploma, Passport and Certificates
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to heavy equipment operations in mining.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging conditions.
• Certification or degree in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or a related field.
• Familiarity with mining equipment brands and models.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment used in mining operations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy machinery.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and ensure equipment compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and operational teams to ensure efficient equipment performance.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Work with specialized tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology.
