Cooperative Fuji is seeking qualified and hardworking Welders under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) to work in Japan. The successful candidates will perform welding, metal preparation, fitting, and related fabrication tasks while following technical instructions, workplace procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
WELDER (TITP)
Qualifications:
- Male, 20–30 years old.
- At least High School Graduate.
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience.
- Physically and emotionally healthy and capable of performing welding-related work.
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, and handling metal materials.
- Basic knowledge of welding tools, equipment, materials, and safety procedures.
- Able to follow instructions, measurements, drawings, and workplace procedures.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Responsible, hardworking, disciplined, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Willing to learn Japanese welding methods and workplace practices.
- Willing to undergo four (4) months of Japanese language training, free of charge.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding work on metal components, structures, and fabricated parts according to specifications.
- Prepare metal materials and surfaces before welding.
- Measure, cut, fit, align, and position metal components for welding.
- Set up and operate welding machines, tools, and related equipment.
- Select and use appropriate welding techniques according to the assigned work.
- Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
- Check welded joints for proper alignment, strength, appearance, and quality.
- Perform grinding, cleaning, finishing, and other post-welding work as required.
- Assist with metal fabrication, assembly, and fitting activities.
- Handle welding materials, tools, and equipment properly and safely.
- Identify welding defects or equipment problems and report them to the supervisor.
- Perform repair or rework of welds when instructed.
- Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Observe all workplace safety rules and construction or manufacturing procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during welding and related activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
- Cooperate with supervisors, fellow welders, and other workers to complete assigned projects.
- Follow Japanese workplace rules and instructions during training and employment.
- Perform other welding and related duties as assigned.
