Welder/Fabricator (Boilermaker)

Qualifications:

• Can weld using FCAW (1G-4G) and GMAW (1F-4F) process.
• Knowledge of Occupational, Health and Welfare Act and application to the workplace.
• Trade qualifications or WPQT in FCAW and GMAW.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in Boilermaking/ Welding in the heavy industry
• Previous experience in Boilermaking/ Welding in the Marine Repair industry.
• Ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade.
• Demonstrates adequate theoretical knowledge.
• Possesses good time management skills and ability to meet targets set by the supervisor.
• Senior First Aid, CPR, EWP, and Forklift Certification
• Practical understanding of how ships and associated components or systems are fabricated/ welded.
• Must be at least a graduate of 1-year vocational course or Completed at least 1 year in college

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate chassis and frames for modular building.
• Weld Beams and Columns using FCAW and GMAW welding process.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair boilers, closed vats, and other large vessels or containers that hold liquids and gases.
• Conduct fabrication and welding/boilermaker duties as directed.
• Weld using FCAW and GMAW welding process.
• Any other duties as required.
