WAITER/WAITRESS

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and interpersonal.
• Basic mathematical skills for handling bills, payments, and change.
• Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant, hotel, café, or other food-service establishment.
• Good knowledge of table service, food and beverage service, and basic restaurant operations.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with guests and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately take and serve customer orders.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Good teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.
• Professional, friendly, patient, and service-oriented attitude.
• Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.
• Willing to work in the UAE and adapt to the local workplace environment and hospitality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and courteously assist guests upon arrival and throughout their dining experience.
• Present menus, explain available food and beverage options, and respond to guest inquiries.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and according to established service standards.
• Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and presented properly before serving guests.
• Monitor tables regularly and attend to guests’ requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide attentive and courteous customer service throughout the meal.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
• Check on guests’ satisfaction and promptly address basic service concerns or requests.
• Clear used plates, glasses, utensils, and other items from tables efficiently.
• Set, clean, and reset tables according to restaurant standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and assigned work areas.
• Assist with preparing dining areas before opening and after service.
• Prepare and provide bills accurately and assist with payment processing when required.
• Apply basic mathematical skills when handling bills, payments, and change.
• Follow proper food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance, grooming, and behavior while on duty.
• Report customer concerns, damaged equipment, shortages, or service issues to the supervisor.
• Assist other members of the restaurant team during busy periods as needed.
• Follow company policies, service procedures, and instructions from supervisors.
• Perform other food-service and restaurant duties assigned by management.
