STRUCTURAL FABRICATOR
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Oil & Gas construction.
- Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
- Strong experience in structural steel fabrication, fitting, and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of steel measurement, marking, cutting, drilling, fitting, alignment, and assembly.
- Ability to safely operate common fabrication tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with structural steel components used in Oil & Gas and industrial construction projects.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Physically fit and capable of performing heavy and demanding construction work.
- Strong awareness of workplace safety and ability to follow Oil & Gas site safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with welders, riggers, fitters, supervisors, and other construction personnel.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
- Willing to work in demanding industrial and outdoor construction environments.

Responsibilities:
- Fabricate structural steel components according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Read and interpret structural drawings, fabrication drawings, sketches, and measurements.
- Measure, mark, cut, drill, bend, shape, and prepare steel materials for fabrication.
- Fit and assemble structural steel components, frames, supports, platforms, beams, columns, and related structures.
- Perform accurate layout and marking of materials before cutting and fabrication.
- Use hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, grinders, drills, and other fabrication machinery safely and correctly.
- Prepare steel surfaces and components for welding, bolting, painting, or other finishing processes.
- Align and position structural components accurately before final assembly or welding.
- Assist welders during structural fabrication and assembly activities when required.
- Perform tack welding or basic welding-related tasks when authorized and qualified.
- Check dimensions, angles, alignment, and fit-up of fabricated components to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect completed fabrication work for defects, improper alignment, and dimensional discrepancies.
- Make necessary adjustments, modifications, and repairs to fabricated steel components.
- Assist in the installation and erection of fabricated structural steel at construction sites.
- Handle, move, and position steel materials and fabricated components using appropriate lifting and handling methods.
- Coordinate with welders, riggers, fitters, supervisors, and other construction personnel.
- Follow project schedules and complete assigned fabrication work within required deadlines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and fabrication work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Identify damaged tools, defective materials, and unsafe working conditions and report them to the supervisor.
- Follow approved fabrication procedures, site regulations, and Oil & Gas construction standards.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during fabrication and construction activities.
- Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and other site safety activities.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure work areas are free from unnecessary hazards and obstructions.
- Perform other structural fabrication and construction duties assigned by the supervisor.
