Midlands Workforce Limited is seeking qualified and experienced Staff Nurses to join healthcare facilities in Ireland. The successful candidates will provide safe and compassionate nursing care, assist doctors and other healthcare professionals, administer prescribed medications, support patients with activities of daily living, maintain accurate clinical records, and promote patient safety and well-being.
STAFF NURSE
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Bachelor’s / College Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Nursing Licensure Examination Passer.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital, community healthcare setting, or elderly care facility.
- OET (Occupational English Test) English Proficiency Examination Passer.
- NMBI Decision Letter Qualified.
- Knowledge of safe medication administration and the 8 Rights of medication administration.
- Good understanding of patient safety, infection prevention, nursing procedures, and healthcare standards.
- Able to provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.
- Good clinical observation, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Able to work effectively with doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
- Fast learner, reliable, honest, hardworking, and responsible.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and adapt to different healthcare environments.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, dignity, and professional nursing standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist doctors and other members of the healthcare team in providing appropriate treatment and interventions to patients.
- Provide direct nursing care based on patients’ individual needs and established care plans.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, nutrition, hygiene, and other routine needs.
- Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately while strictly following the 8 Rights (8 R’s) of medication administration.
- Verify medication orders, patient identity, dosage, route, timing, and other required medication safety checks.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after medication administration and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly.
- Observe patients’ conditions and promptly report changes or deterioration to doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, nursing notes, treatment records, medication records, and other required clinical documentation.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring patient treatment and care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and other relevant patient conditions as required.
- Ensure patients’ safety at all times and take appropriate measures to prevent falls, injuries, accidents, and other avoidable risks.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures and maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Provide emotional support, reassurance, and respectful care to patients and their families.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, positioning, and other care activities using appropriate safety procedures.
- Communicate relevant patient information clearly and promptly during handovers and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times.
- Follow nursing policies, clinical procedures, professional standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Recognize and report potential risks, changes in patient condition, and incidents according to facility procedures.
- Assist with emergency care and other urgent clinical interventions within the scope of professional practice.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient-care environment.
- Continue developing professional knowledge and clinical skills through training, learning, and workplace experience.
- Perform other nursing and patient-care duties assigned by the healthcare facility or nursing supervisor.
