Groupe Salyas / Byblos Hotel is seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations. The Sous Chef will oversee food preparation, maintain quality standards, and ensure smooth kitchen service.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a hotel or restaurant
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of international cuisine
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Culinary degree or certification is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen management
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service
• Prepare and cook dishes according to menu standards
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
• Manage inventory and monitor stock levels
• Assist in menu planning and development
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
• Help control food costs and reduce waste
• Ensure smooth kitchen workflow during busy periods
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
