Senior Electrical Technician

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or a related industrial electrical field.
• Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, or similar industrial facilities.
• Must be capable of performing routine maintenance and repair work in the related field.
• Must have strong practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience troubleshooting motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, control panels, and electrical distribution systems is highly advantageous.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Must have experience using electrical testing and diagnostic instruments.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and lockout/tagout procedures is highly advantageous.
• Senior-level experience providing technical support or guidance to other electrical technicians is an advantage.
• Must be physically capable of working in demanding industrial and plant environments.
• Must be safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Diagnose electrical faults involving motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, control panels, distribution systems, and electrical components.
• Perform electrical testing and measurements using appropriate diagnostic and test equipment.
• Inspect and maintain electrical wiring, cables, connections, terminals, panels, and control systems.
• Assist with electrical equipment installation, modification, commissioning, shutdown, and maintenance activities.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair work according to approved procedures and technical requirements.
• Identify electrical problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Replace defective or worn electrical components and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and replaced components.
• Coordinate with engineers, electricians, technicians, operations personnel, and other maintenance teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to less-experienced electrical technicians when required.
• Follow permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, PPE, and industrial safety procedures.
• Ensure all assigned work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and project standards.
