Yamato Co Ltd is seeking qualified and experienced Scaffolding Workers under the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program to work in Japan. The successful candidates will be responsible for assembling, installing, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding structures at construction sites while following construction plans, workplace procedures, and strict safety standards.
SCAFFOLDING (SSW)
Qualifications:
- Male, 20–35 years old.
- For applicants who have completed TITP II or TITP III in Scaffolding Building Work:
- Must have a Level 3 Certificate or Evaluation Certificate.
- For Skill Test Passers:
- Must be a Prometric Skilled Test Passer.
- Must have passed JLPT N4 or JFT-Basic.
- Relevant scaffolding and construction experience is required through the specified TITP or skill-test pathway.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding construction work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and working at heights.
- Able to follow construction drawings, measurements, instructions, and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of proper scaffolding assembly, installation, modification, and dismantling procedures.
- Safety-conscious and able to follow fall-protection and work-at-height requirements.
- Responsible, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install scaffolding structures for construction and building projects.
- Dismantle scaffolding safely after completion of assigned construction work.
- Inspect scaffolding components, materials, and equipment before use.
- Follow construction drawings, measurements, layouts, and instructions from supervisors.
- Position and secure scaffolding frames, pipes, platforms, braces, and other components properly.
- Ensure scaffolding structures are stable, level, properly aligned, and securely fastened.
- Install guardrails, handrails, toe boards, access ladders, and other required safety components.
- Assist with adjusting, extending, modifying, or relocating scaffolding according to project requirements.
- Transport and organize scaffolding materials and components at the worksite.
- Use appropriate hand tools and scaffolding equipment safely and correctly.
- Check completed scaffolding for stability, safety, and proper installation.
- Report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, or structural concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain scaffolding components and tools in good working condition.
- Follow proper procedures for lifting, carrying, handling, and storing heavy scaffolding materials.
- Work safely at elevated heights and follow all fall-protection requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including helmets, safety harnesses, and other protective gear.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the worksite.
- Coordinate with other scaffolding workers, construction workers, and supervisors.
- Follow Japanese construction site safety rules, company procedures, and workplace standards.
- Perform other scaffolding and construction-related duties as assigned.

- High school diploma / college diploma (photocopy)
- Certificate of employment (COE) (photocopy & original)
