Runner

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Runner, Food Service Assistant, Waiter Assistant, or in a similar hospitality role.
  • Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in a related field.
  • Must have experience in the same industry, preferably in restaurants, hotels, or food and beverage establishments.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dining environment.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling, hygiene, and workplace safety practices.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a restaurant team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist waitstaff in providing efficient and professional service to guests.
  • Warmly welcome guests, assist with menu presentation, and provide basic information about menu items and daily specials when needed.
  • Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately.
  • Verify orders before serving to ensure accuracy, proper presentation, and completeness.
  • Communicate guest requests, special instructions, dietary restrictions, or concerns to the appropriate team members.
  • Assist in clearing used plates, glasses, and utensils from tables.
  • Wipe down and reset tables to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Refill beverages and assist guests with additional requests as needed.
  • Support front-of-house operations during busy service periods.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and strictly follow food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
