RIGGER

Qualifications:

• At least High School Graduate.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Previous experience in rigging, lifting, construction, industrial, or Oil & Gas environments is required.
• Good communication skills and ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Physically fit and capable of performing heavy and demanding work.
• Knowledge of basic rigging procedures, lifting equipment, and safe load handling practices.
• Ability to work effectively with crane operators, supervisors, signalmen, and other site personnel.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety and hazard prevention.
• Willing to work in a demanding industrial environment and follow company safety procedures.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and inspect rigging equipment, tools, slings, shackles, hooks, chains, wire ropes, and other lifting accessories before use.
• Select appropriate rigging equipment based on the weight, size, shape, and type of load.
• Safely attach and secure loads for lifting, transportation, and positioning.
• Assist crane operators and lifting teams during lifting and rigging operations.
• Guide and control suspended loads using tag lines and proper hand signals.
• Communicate clearly with crane operators, supervisors, signalmen, and other workers during lifting operations.
• Follow approved lifting plans, rigging procedures, load charts, and safety instructions.
• Inspect loads and lifting points to ensure they are properly secured before lifting.
• Position and align equipment, machinery, pipes, structural materials, and other heavy components as directed.
• Assist in loading, unloading, assembling, dismantling, and relocating heavy equipment and materials.
• Use hand signals and other approved communication methods during crane and lifting operations.
• Ensure lifting areas are properly barricaded and kept clear of unauthorized personnel.
• Identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions during rigging and lifting activities.
• Report damaged or defective rigging equipment to the supervisor and remove unsafe equipment from service.
• Maintain proper storage and organization of rigging tools and lifting accessories.
• Follow Oil & Gas industry safety standards, company procedures, and site regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times as required.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and other site safety activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other rigging and lifting-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
