Vietnam Hanoi Company Ltd. is seeking qualified and experienced Rig Operators to work in Vietnam. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining drilling or rig equipment, following work instructions and safety procedures, monitoring equipment performance, and supporting drilling and related field operations. The position requires strong practical experience, technical skills, and the ability to work safely in a demanding work environment.
RIG OPERATOR
Qualifications:
- Male applicants only.
- 24–50 years old.
- At least High School Graduate.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience as a Rig Operator.
- Must have a valid Certificate of Employment (COE) to verify relevant work experience.
- Must have NC II certification.
- Able to speak and understand English.
- Strong practical knowledge of rig and drilling equipment operation.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and workplace standards.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding rig and field work.
- Good equipment-handling, observation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Operate rig and drilling equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of rigs, machinery, tools, and related equipment.
- Set up, position, and prepare rig equipment for drilling and field operations.
- Operate controls and equipment according to technical instructions and operational requirements.
- Monitor rig performance, pressure, equipment conditions, and operating parameters during work.
- Identify abnormal equipment conditions, mechanical problems, or operational issues and report them promptly.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with maintenance of rig equipment.
- Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance as required.
- Assist mechanics and maintenance personnel during equipment inspection, repair, and servicing.
- Handle drilling tools, pipes, materials, and other rig-related equipment properly.
- Follow drilling plans, work instructions, technical specifications, and supervisor directions.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation, inspections, maintenance, and work activities.
- Ensure proper use and care of tools, machinery, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the rig.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures and site-specific safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, technicians, helpers, and other members of the work team.
- Assist with rig mobilization, demobilization, and equipment preparation when required.
- Stop operations and immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment failures, or hazards.
- Perform other rig operation and related field duties assigned by management.
