Alshaya International Trading Company W.L.L. is seeking a reliable and organized Receiver to support restaurant operations in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving merchandise and supplies, checking deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting the restaurant’s inventory management system. Candidates with experience in procurement, store inventory management, or kitchen environments are preferred.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement or store inventory management.
- At least High School Graduate.
- Experience working in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential.
- Basic understanding of receiving procedures, inventory control, and stock management.
- Good understanding of sanitation and hygiene requirements, particularly when handling food and restaurant supplies.
- Ability to accurately check quantities, product descriptions, delivery documents, and merchandise condition.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic computer operations is an advantage.
- Physically capable of receiving, moving, organizing, and storing merchandise and supplies.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time constraints.
- Reliable, responsible, honest, and organized.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, procurement personnel, kitchen staff, and restaurant management.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming merchandise, food supplies, equipment, and other items delivered to the restaurant.
- Check deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and receiving documents.
- Verify the quantity, description, condition, and quality of received merchandise.
- Inspect food and other supplies for damage, spoilage, contamination, or other irregularities.
- Ensure delivered items meet the restaurant’s required specifications and standards.
- Report shortages, excess quantities, damaged goods, incorrect deliveries, or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Record received merchandise accurately in the restaurant’s inventory management system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of incoming stock and supplies.
- Assist with inventory counting, stock reconciliation, and verification of inventory records.
- Properly label, organize, and store received merchandise in designated storage areas.
- Follow appropriate stock rotation procedures, including FIFO (First In, First Out) where applicable.
- Ensure perishable food items are promptly transferred to appropriate refrigerated or frozen storage.
- Monitor storage areas to ensure products are stored safely and hygienically.
- Assist with monitoring stock levels and identifying items that need replenishment.
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, kitchen staff, restaurant management, and other departments regarding deliveries and inventory.
- Maintain receiving areas, storage rooms, refrigerators, and other assigned areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow proper sanitation and hygiene procedures when handling food and restaurant supplies.
- Ensure receiving and storage activities comply with food safety and workplace health requirements.
- Use inventory management systems, receiving equipment, scales, and other relevant tools as required.
- Maintain proper documentation for deliveries, returns, transfers, and inventory adjustments.
- Assist with returning incorrect, damaged, or rejected merchandise to suppliers according to company procedures.
- Support regular stock audits and investigations of inventory discrepancies.
- Handle merchandise carefully to minimize damage, waste, and loss.
- Follow company policies, security procedures, and inventory control standards.
- Perform other receiving, inventory, and restaurant support duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
- Employment certificates
- NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
- PEOS certificate
