PIPE FITTER

Qualifications:

• Relevant work experience as a Pipe Fitter in construction, industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical, or similar projects.
• Good knowledge of pipe fitting, fabrication, alignment, and installation procedures.
• Able to read and interpret piping isometric drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, beveling, fitting, and assembling pipes and piping components.
• Familiarity with pipes, fittings, flanges, valves, supports, and related piping materials.
• Able to use common hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and pipe-fitting tools safely.
• Good understanding of pipe joint preparation, fit-up, alignment, and installation requirements.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately according to project specifications.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding industrial and construction work.
• Able to work effectively with welders, fabricators, supervisors, inspectors, and other project personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, layouts, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, bevel, and prepare pipes and related materials for installation.
• Fit and assemble pipes, fittings, flanges, valves, supports, and other piping components.
• Align and position pipe sections accurately before welding or joining.
• Perform pipe fitting and installation according to approved drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare pipe joints and ensure proper fit-up, dimensions, alignment, and orientation.
• Install pipe supports, brackets, clamps, and related components as required.
• Use hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and pipe-fitting tools safely and correctly.
• Check pipe measurements, levels, alignment, and positioning before final installation or welding.
• Coordinate with welders, fabricators, supervisors, inspectors, and other construction personnel.
• Identify dimensional, alignment, or fitting issues and make appropriate adjustments.
• Assist with hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, flushing, or other piping activities when required.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, permit requirements, and proper material-handling practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
• Perform other pipe-fitting duties as assigned.
