Nutritionist

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a nutritionist role, with experience in large-scale food service environments.
• Skills and Competencies: Nutritional planning, communication, collaboration, dietary assessment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Certifications: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent certification

Responsibilities:

• The Nutritionist is responsible for ensuring that all meals provided within the camps meet nutritional standards and contribute to the health and well-being of residents.
• This role involves developing meal plans, conducting nutritional assessments, and collaborating with kitchen staff.
• Nutritional Planning: Develop and implement meal plans that meet nutritional standards and dietary requirements. Ensure meals are balanced, nutritious, and promote overall health.
• Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure the proper preparation and presentation of meals. Collaborate with the food safety team to ensure meals meet safety standards.
• Nutritional Assessments: Conduct nutritional assessments of residents and provide recommendations for dietary improvements. Address specific dietary needs and restrictions of residents.
• Training and Education: Educate kitchen staff on nutritional best practices and dietary guidelines. Provide nutrition education to residents as needed.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor the effectiveness of meal plans and make adjustments as necessary. Evaluate resident feedback and dietary intake to ensure satisfaction and health benefits.
