Jahra Pakistani School is seeking a qualified, compassionate, and responsible School Nurse to provide basic healthcare services and medical assistance to students and school personnel in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing students’ health concerns, providing first aid, maintaining health records, responding to medical emergencies, and promoting health, hygiene, and safety throughout the school community.

NURSE

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent recognized nursing qualification.
• Must be a registered nurse in the Philippines, if applicable to the applicant.
• Valid nursing license and eligibility to meet the applicable professional licensing requirements in Kuwait.
• Previous nursing experience is preferred; school nursing, pediatric, clinic, or emergency care experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of first aid, basic emergency response, infection prevention, and general nursing procedures.
• Ability to assess common health complaints and recognize situations requiring urgent medical attention.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with students, parents, teachers, and school administrators.
• Patient, compassionate, responsible, and attentive to students’ healthcare needs.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate medical records.
• Able to respond calmly and effectively during medical emergencies.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and electronic recordkeeping.
• Committed to patient confidentiality, professional ethics, and student safeguarding.

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care and first aid to students and school personnel when necessary.
• Assess students who become ill or sustain injuries during school hours.
• Monitor students’ symptoms and determine when referral to a healthcare facility is necessary.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow established emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student illnesses, injuries, treatments, and nursing interventions.
• Administer medications only in accordance with authorized instructions, school policies, and applicable regulations.
• Monitor students with known medical conditions and follow their documented healthcare plans.
• Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student health concerns and medical incidents.
• Coordinate with school administrators and teachers regarding students’ healthcare needs and necessary precautions.
• Maintain and regularly check first-aid kits, medical supplies, and basic nursing equipment.
• Ensure the school clinic is clean, organized, and adequately stocked with essential supplies.
• Promote personal hygiene, sanitation, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Conduct basic health observations and assist with health screenings when authorized.
• Help identify potential health risks and report concerns to the appropriate school personnel.
• Follow infection prevention, waste disposal, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Protect students’ privacy and maintain confidentiality when handling medical information.
• Maintain documentation of medical incidents and prepare health reports as required.
• Assist in developing and implementing school health and emergency response procedures.
• Refer students to appropriate healthcare professionals when further medical assessment is needed.
• Participate in school health campaigns, safety programs, and health education activities.
• Perform other nursing and healthcare-related duties assigned by school management.
