Mechanical Commissioning Lead

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Systems Engineering, or a related field is typically required. Coursework in mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, HVAC systems, commissioning procedures, project management, and related disciplines provides foundational knowledge and expertise.

Technical Skills:

• Mechanical Systems Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, components, and technologies, including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, boilers, chillers, ventilation systems, plumbing systems, and associated infrastructure.
• Commissioning Procedures: Proficiency in developing, implementing, and overseeing commissioning plans, procedures, protocols, tests, and activities for mechanical systems and equipment to ensure proper installation, functionality, performance, and compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.
• Testing and Validation: Experience in conducting comprehensive tests, inspections, measurements, diagnostics, and validations during the commissioning process using specialized tools, equipment, instruments, and methodologies.
• Safety and Compliance: Strong knowledge of safety practices, regulations, standards, and compliance requirements related to commissioning, mechanical operations, and equipment to ensure the safe and reliable activation, operation, and handover of systems and components.

Leadership and Management Skills:

• Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing commissioning projects, coordinating tasks, allocating resources, scheduling activities, tracking progress, managing budgets, and ensuring timely and successful completion within scope, quality, and safety constraints.
• Team Leadership: Strong leadership abilities to lead commissioning teams, coordinate with multidisciplinary departments, supervise technicians and engineers, provide guidance, foster a collaborative environment, and drive excellence in commissioning initiatives and projects.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise with stakeholders, clients, vendors, contractors, regulators, and management, convey technical information, present findings, address concerns, facilitate discussions, and ensure alignment with project objectives and expectations.
