We are looking for experienced and skilled Masons to join our construction team in Fiji Islands. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring masonry structures while ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.

MASON

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Mason.
• Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Skilled in mixing mortar and concrete and laying brick, block, or stone according to project specifications.
• Proficient in the safe operation of hand tools and power tools used in masonry work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and meet project deadlines.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and extended hours when required.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and operational procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret project blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
• Measure work areas and determine the quantity of materials required for each project.
• Mix concrete, mortar, and other construction materials to the required consistency.
• Cut, shape, and dress bricks, concrete blocks, and stone using specialized hand tools and power tools.
• Lay and bond bricks, blocks, stone, and other masonry materials to construct walls, foundations, chimneys, patios, and other structures.
• Perform repair and restoration of damaged or weathered masonry works.
• Use levels, measuring lines, plumb rules, and other measuring tools to ensure structures are properly aligned and level.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing debris and properly storing tools and materials.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Follow company safety procedures, construction standards, and project requirements at all times.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other construction personnel to complete projects on schedule.
