Ace Alloy Wheel Repair is seeking an experienced, organized, and results-driven Manager to oversee daily business and workshop operations in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, coordinating automotive repair activities, monitoring service quality, managing workflow, and ensuring efficient business operations. The role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with the ability to maintain high standards of customer service and workshop performance.
MANAGER
Qualifications:
- Relevant educational background in Business Management, Automotive Technology, Operations Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Previous experience in management, workshop supervision, automotive services, or a related industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive repair operations, alloy wheel repair, vehicle painting, and workshop workflow is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to organize work schedules, allocate tasks, and monitor staff performance.
- Good understanding of operational planning, cost control, inventory management, and productivity monitoring.
- Strong customer service, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to review operational reports, monitor expenses, and support business planning.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications and business reporting tools.
- Ability to make sound decisions and resolve operational issues effectively.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures and staff compliance requirements.
- Professional, reliable, accountable, and focused on achieving business objectives.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with employees and management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the alloy wheel repair and automotive service business.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate workshop activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs.
- Supervise technicians, panel beaters, vehicle painters, estimators, and other assigned personnel.
- Allocate tasks, establish work priorities, and monitor employee performance.
- Ensure repair and refinishing work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
- Monitor job progress, turnaround times, productivity, and overall workshop performance.
- Coordinate with estimators and technicians to review repair requirements, quotations, and job schedules.
- Manage customer inquiries, service concerns, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and business partners.
- Monitor operating expenses, labor costs, material usage, and other business expenditures.
- Assist in preparing operational budgets, performance reports, and business improvement plans.
- Monitor inventory levels of alloy wheels, replacement parts, paint products, tools, and other workshop supplies.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and supplier arrangements to ensure adequate stock availability.
- Ensure workshop tools, machinery, and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
- Implement procedures to improve efficiency, productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, repair procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Promote safe handling of chemicals, paints, solvents, and workshop equipment.
- Maintain accurate operational records, job reports, staff schedules, and other management documentation.
- Support staff training, development, performance reviews, and workplace discipline as required.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve business performance.
- Ensure the workshop remains clean, organized, professional, and compliant with applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with management regarding business targets, operational issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Perform other managerial and operational duties assigned by the company.
