Dawn Meats Group UC is seeking a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to support plant and machinery operations in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, fabrication, and servicing of mechanical equipment and integrated industrial systems. The employer is specifically looking for applicants with strong practical repair and maintenance experience, rather than supervisory or administrative backgrounds
Maintenance Mechanical Engineer
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience required.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in plant and machinery installation, maintenance, repair, replacement of worn or damaged parts, adjustment, and servicing.
- Proficient in fabricating replacement parts using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Skilled in repair and fabrication techniques, including welding, brazing, riveting, and soldering.
- Experienced in working with computer, electronic, PLC-integrated, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must have actual hands-on repair and maintenance experience; applicants with only supervisory or administrative experience will not be considered.
- Applicant must be a Filipino citizen currently residing in the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of plant machinery and industrial equipment.
- Replace broken or worn mechanical parts and perform necessary adjustments and servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Fabricate replacement parts using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other workshop equipment.
- Repair and fabricate components using welding, brazing, riveting, and soldering techniques.
- Work with computer, electronic, and programmable control systems integrated with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain systems involving PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), CNC (Computer Numerical Control), robots, and CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) technologies.
- Perform hands-on mechanical repairs and maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, maintenance standards, and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of repair and maintenance activities.
