Narseys Plastic Industries Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Label Printer Operator to join its production team in the Fiji Islands. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and setting up label printing equipment, monitoring print quality, handling inks and printing materials, and performing basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments. The role requires strong attention to detail, accurate color reproduction, commitment to quality, and the ability to work safely in a shift-based production environment.

LABEL PRINTER OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• With a Vocational or TESDA Certificate in a relevant technical or printing-related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Wide Web Flexographic Operator.
• Experience in label printing or machine operation is preferred.
• Knowledge of printing machine setup, inks, printing materials, and basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of flexographic printing processes and production procedures.
• Ability to monitor and maintain consistent print quality throughout production.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in color accuracy, registration, alignment, and print quality.
• Ability to identify common printing defects and make basic machine adjustments.
• Physically fit and capable of standing and performing production tasks for extended periods.
• Willing to work shifts and follow production schedules.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, productivity, and proper machine operation.
• Reliable, responsible, hardworking, and willing to follow technical instructions and company procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Operate label printing machines and related production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up printing machines according to job specifications, production requirements, and approved samples.
• Prepare and load printing materials, inks, substrates, and other required supplies.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve the required print quality, registration, color, and production specifications.
• Monitor printing operations throughout production to ensure consistent output.
• Check printed labels for color accuracy, registration, alignment, print clarity, defects, and overall quality.
• Perform routine inspections of printing equipment and report mechanical or operational issues.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and adjustments to resolve common machine or printing problems.
• Maintain proper ink levels and ensure inks are mixed, handled, and used according to production requirements.
• Verify printing materials and job specifications before starting production.
• Follow production schedules and complete assigned printing jobs within required deadlines.
• Minimize material waste by ensuring proper machine setup, operation, and quality control.
• Record production quantities, machine issues, material usage, and other required production information.
• Clean and maintain printing machines, tools, work areas, and related equipment.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance as instructed by supervisors or technical personnel.
• Follow established operating procedures, quality control standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Properly handle inks, solvents, printing materials, and other production supplies.
• Coordinate with supervisors, quality control personnel, and other production workers to resolve printing concerns.
• Assist with machine changeovers and preparation for different label printing jobs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
• Perform other printing and production duties assigned by management.
