Environmental Specialist

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in environmental management or a related field.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001) are desirable

Responsibilities:

• The Environmental Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all operations within the camps comply with environmental regulations and best practices.
• This role involves monitoring environmental performance, conducting assessments, and developing support
• Environmental Monitoring: Conduct regular environmental assessments and audits. Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement sustainability programs to reduce environmental impact. Promote environmental awareness and best practices among staff and residents.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations. Prepare regular reports on environmental performance and initiatives.
• Risk Management: Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Training and Education: Provide training on environmental policies and procedures. Stay updated on environmental regulations and trends
