DENTAL NURSE
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience as a Dental Nurse, Dental Assistant, or in a related dental clinical position.
- Must be a holder of a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Examination).
- Practical experience in chairside assistance during dental procedures and treatments.
- Knowledge of dental instrument preparation, sterilization, disinfection, and infection control procedures.
- Ability to prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments, and dental materials efficiently.
- Knowledge of proper clinical hygiene, patient safety, and dental clinic procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients and dental professionals.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, organization, and patient care.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient in a clinical environment.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting during extended dental procedures when required.
- Responsible, compassionate, reliable, and committed to maintaining professional healthcare standards.
- Female applicants are preferred for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists and dental specialists during dental procedures and clinical treatments.
- Prepare dental instruments, materials, equipment, and supplies before each procedure.
- Welcome patients and assist them in preparing for dental examinations and treatments.
- Explain basic treatment procedures to patients as directed by the dentist.
- Monitor patients’ comfort and general condition during dental procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs when required.
- Assist dentists by passing instruments and materials during treatments.
- Maintain proper organization of instruments and dental materials during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain clean and properly organized dental treatment rooms.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
- Ensure dental instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, stored, and ready for use.
- Prepare dental trays and treatment setups according to the procedure being performed.
- Assist with the proper handling and disposal of clinical and medical waste.
- Maintain adequate supplies of dental materials, consumables, and other clinical items.
- Check dental equipment and report malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in maintaining accurate patient and treatment records as required.
- Support dentists with post-treatment instructions and patient care as directed.
- Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, comfort, and dignity at all times.
- Follow clinic policies, professional standards, workplace safety procedures, and infection control requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dentists, specialists, dental assistants, reception staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, professional, and patient-friendly clinical environment.
- Perform other dental nursing and clinical support duties assigned by management.
