  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
  • Basic math skills for calculating totals, processing payments, and making change.
  • Proficiency in using cash registers and POS systems is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions, counting money, and reconciling receipts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet customer needs and maintain workflow.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, depending on store hours and scheduling requirements.
  • Dependability and reliability, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices, including handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and maintaining a positive customer experience.


  • Greet customers as they enter the store, answer their questions, and provide assistance as needed. Offer a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Operate cash registers and POS systems to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Scan merchandise, process payments, and issue receipts while adhering to cash handling procedures and security protocols.
  • Familiarize yourself with the store’s products, promotions, and pricing to effectively assist customers and make product recommendations. Stay informed about new arrivals, special offers, and sales events.
  • Accept various forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payments. Calculate totals, handle cash transactions, and process payments securely and in compliance with company policies.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and refunds for customers in accordance with store policies. Verify returned merchandise, issue refunds, and update inventory records as needed.
  • Balance cash registers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate accounting of transactions. Count cash, reconcile receipts, and prepare deposits for bank drop-off.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding store policies, promotions, and procedures. Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
