CAR/VAN MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Car/Van Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role.
• Maximum age of 40 years old.
• Relevant training or certification in Automotive Technology, Vehicle Mechanics, or a related field is an advantage.
• Must possess a valid passport with at least 3 to 5 years of remaining validity before expiration.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Proficient in using computerized diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of passenger cars and vans.
• Perform preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, brake servicing, tire rotations, and vehicle inspections.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, clutches, suspension systems, steering systems, braking systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and electrical parts.
• Use computerized diagnostic equipment and testing tools to identify faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Conduct engine tune-ups and perform routine servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Test-drive vehicles after repairs to verify proper operation and ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and documentation of parts used.
• Keep workshop tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in safe working condition.
• Comply with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations while carrying out maintenance and repair work.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians to complete repairs within scheduled timeframes.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.
