BUILDING ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, panels, circuit breakers, lighting systems, and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience using electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, and thermal scanners.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance or construction team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install conduits, wiring systems, distribution panels, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, outlets, and other electrical hardware in new construction and renovation projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance work.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose issues in wiring, switches, fixtures, panels, and related components.
• Repair or replace defective electrical parts and equipment to restore proper system operation.
• Inspect, test, and evaluate electrical systems using multimeters, thermal scanners, and other testing devices.
• Ensure electrical installations and repairs comply with safety standards, building regulations, and company procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards and prevent electrical failures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and materials used.
• Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and service requests when required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
