BATCHING PLANT OPERATOR

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Climb to cab (6’+) 20 times a day.
• Will be required to stoop, bend, and lift heavy objects such as shovels full of concrete materials on a repetitive basis.
• Accurately report on fuel, petty cash, time cards.
• Maintain an excellent personal safety record and a promote a safe work environment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and maintain composure under stressful conditions.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to interact professionally with customers, plant employees, dispatchers, mechanics and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with crew members on status of work load.
• Executes clean up procedures at end of work day.
• Batches concrete load according to specifications.
• Prints out invoice tickets on each truck/load and files.
• Will accurately proportion materials in batches to load into ready mix and/or asphalt material trucks.
• Checks inventory control of raw materials, additives and/or specialized materials and notifies appropriate suppliers of production needs.
• Accurately proportion cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures in batches to load into ready mix trucks.
• Work with Production, Transportation, and Dispatch departments regarding material delivery.
• Operate a front end loader when needed. Dump mix from tub into pour bucket
