CAS Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Barista to join a professional food and beverage team in Cyprus. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving quality coffee and other beverages, providing excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety, and contributing to a positive and efficient team environment.

BARISTA

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience as a Barista or in a closely related food and beverage position.
• Good knowledge and practical experience in food and beverage preparation, particularly coffee, shakes, juices, and other beverages.
• Ability to prepare beverages accurately while maintaining consistent taste, quality, appearance, and presentation.
• Knowledge of operating and maintaining coffee machines, grinders, blenders, juicers, and other beverage equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented approach.
• Strong knowledge of health and food safety standards.
• Must possess relevant Health & Food Safety Standard Training Certificates.
• Strong commitment to hygiene and sanitation standards in beverage preparation and service areas.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout the shift.
• Good understanding of proper food handling, ingredient storage, freshness, and contamination prevention.
• Ability to work efficiently and remain organized during busy or high-volume service periods.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward working with colleagues and supervisors.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-handling skills.
• Must have excellent English communication skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, flexible, disciplined, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to follow recipes, company procedures, food safety requirements, and service standards consistently.
• Must have a newly renewed passport.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, shakes, juices, and other food and beverage products according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare espresso-based coffee beverages and other hot or cold drinks consistently and efficiently.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, juicers, and other beverage preparation equipment safely and properly.
• Ensure the correct measurement, preparation, presentation, and serving of beverages.
• Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, professional, and efficient service.
• Communicate with customers to understand their beverage preferences and respond appropriately to requests.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a courteous and welcoming attitude at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, beverage station, counters, equipment, and service areas.
• Clean and sanitize coffee machines, grinders, blenders, utensils, preparation surfaces, and other equipment regularly.
• Strictly follow health, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards during beverage preparation and service.
• Handle ingredients, dairy products, fruits, syrups, coffee beans, and other supplies properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use and report any concerns to the supervisor.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, fruits, cups, and other beverage supplies and inform the supervisor of replenishment needs.
• Maintain proper storage and organization of ingredients and supplies.
• Minimize product waste through proper preparation, portion control, and careful handling of ingredients.
• Keep the work area clean and presentable throughout operating hours, including during busy service periods.
• Follow established beverage recipes and company standards to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Work closely with other baristas, kitchen staff, servers, and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork, cooperation, and a positive workplace environment.
• Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and refer issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
• Follow company policies, operational procedures, workplace safety requirements, and service standards.
• Perform other barista, beverage preparation, and food service duties assigned by management.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary starts at Php 60,000 gross monthly
• Forty (40) Hours in six (6) days
• Annual leave is 21 days per year
• Two (2)-year contract, renewable
