Qualifications

• Able to conduct Standard Preventive Maintenance Service for different light / heavy duty vehicle either manual and automatic diesel or gasoline engine. ( Car, Truck and Forklift).
• Able to diagnose / troubleshoot / repair different types of light/ heavy duty vehicle problem either mechanically, electrical and hydraulic system.
• Knowledgeable for using computer scanning equipment for faster identifying and proper diagnostic / troubleshooting to any problem for different vehicle model ( Toyota, Hino, Isuzu and Mitsubishi, Honda, Heli forklift, etc).
• Able to perform engine overhauling for both diesel and gasoline engine and able to determine what is new parts needed as for replacement.
• Strong background knowledge for assembly, repair and maintenance of drive shaft, differential, axle, hydraulic control system, hydraulic pumps, swing motors, manual and automatic transmission.
• Can perform and very familiarized with repair and replacement of clutch assembly, brakes shoes and pad assembly, caliper and any heavy duty air brakes system.
• Able to sort out quotation for different vehicle parts to different auto supplier within Port Moresby or abroad.
• Knowledgeable in basic welding skill and metal cutting equipment ( grinder machine and argon gas).

Job Description

• Conduct safe keeping of all mechanic tools, equipment and vehicle parts inventory.
• Repairing damaged equipment parts.
• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
• Inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
