ASSISTANT COOK

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years’ experience as assistant cook.
• Candidates must have a passport
• Must know how to prepare Italian menu.
• Must know how to prepare and cook pasta.
• Experience in kitchen operations.
• In-depth understanding of food health and safety regulations.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills .
• Exceptional physical stamina and strength.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Head Cook with food preparation and cooking of Italian menu items.
• Perform a variety of duties including cooking pasta and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
• Perform cleaning duties such as washing dishes, wiping counters and cleaning kitchen areas
• Ensure food safety standards are met and followed
• Receive and store food items according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout the cooking process
• Plate meals according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly stocked with necessary items.
