NECO Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Architect to join its construction team in Palau. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified architectural professional with strong knowledge of building design, construction documentation, project coordination, and site supervision.
Architect
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Professional experience in architectural design, construction documentation, and project coordination.
- Strong knowledge of building design, construction methods, materials, and architectural detailing.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant architectural design software.
- Ability to prepare and interpret architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, construction standards, safety requirements, and architectural practices.
- Experience conducting site inspections and coordinating with contractors and other construction professionals.
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project requirements and deadlines.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary construction team.
- Willing to work on construction sites and in a demanding project environment.
- Professional, responsible, organized, and committed to delivering quality architectural work.
Responsibilities:
- Develop architectural designs, concepts, layouts, and plans for residential, commercial, and other construction projects.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, construction documents, specifications, and presentation materials.
- Review project requirements, site conditions, building codes, and applicable regulations when developing designs.
- Coordinate architectural plans with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other engineering requirements.
- Prepare and revise drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant architectural design software.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, material specifications, and technical documents for compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure work follows approved plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, project managers, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Identify design issues, construction discrepancies, and technical problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, cost considerations, material selection, and construction documentation.
- Ensure architectural work complies with applicable building codes, safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
- Monitor the quality of architectural finishes, materials, workmanship, and construction details.
- Review and approve or provide recommendations on material samples, finishes, and architectural details as required.
- Maintain accurate project records, drawings, revisions, reports, and other architectural documentation.
- Assist with project presentations, client coordination, design revisions, and progress meetings.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to approved designs, schedules, quality standards, and client requirements.
- Perform other architectural, design, documentation, and construction-related duties assigned by management.
