People Inc. is seeking experienced Aluminum Fabricators to join a leading aluminum manufacturing and fabrication company in New Zealand. The successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and glazing aluminum products used in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The role requires expertise in cutting, punching, milling, assembly, and finishing while ensuring all work meets company quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
Aluminum Fabricator
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an Aluminum Fabricator.
- Proven experience working in an aluminum fabrication workshop or manufacturing company.
- Skilled in cutting, punching, milling, assembling, and glazing aluminum products.
- Experience fabricating aluminum doors, windows, curtain walls, or similar architectural aluminum systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and production specifications.
- Proficient in the use of fabrication machinery, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
- Strong understanding of aluminum fabrication techniques, quality control, and safe work practices.
- High attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality workmanship.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to following workplace health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate aluminum doors, windows, curtain walls, shopfronts, partitions, and other aluminum products according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Measure, cut, punch, mill, drill, and machine aluminum profiles using specialized fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- Assemble aluminum frames, components, and hardware with precision to ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Install glazing, seals, gaskets, and accessories into fabricated aluminum products.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and production schedules.
- Inspect fabricated products to ensure compliance with quality standards, dimensional accuracy, and customer specifications.
- Operate fabrication machinery safely and perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or production discrepancies to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company health and safety policies.
- Collaborate with production teams to meet daily manufacturing targets and project deadlines.
- Follow quality assurance procedures and continuously maintain high workmanship standards.
- Perform other fabrication and workshop-related duties as assigned by management.
