ACCOUNTANT
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent is required. Additional coursework or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis is a must.
- Regulatory Knowledge: An understanding of local tax laws and regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Basic analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies, irregularities, and financial risk areas.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is necessary for accurate data verification, audit
documentation, and record-keeping. - Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and basic accounting software.
- Ethical Conduct: Adherence to ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
Job Description:
- Data Verification: Review and verify financial transactions, invoices, receipts, and other accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
- Audit Documentation: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of audit working papers, schedules, and documentation to support the audit process.
- Audit Procedures: Execute audit procedures as directed by senior auditors, which may include examining financial documents, testing internal controls, and analyzing financial data.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems or spreadsheets to facilitate audit analysis and reconciliation.
- Compliance Check: Assist in ensuring that financial activities comply with accounting principles, regulations and internal policy.
- Internal Controls: Collaborate in evaluating internal controls and compliance with established financial policies and procedures.
- Report Preparation: Support the preparation of audit reports by gathering relevant data and assisting in the documentation of findings.
- Communication: Work closely with auditors and team members, respond to audit inquiries, and provide requested documentation.
- Audit Follow-Up: Assist in monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and secure records of audit documentation, financial reports, and supporting materials.
