Team Tankers International can trace its origins back to 1883 and the foundation of Camillo Eitzen & Co. The chemical division was established when Tschudi & Eitzen Holding AS acquired the Danish shipping company KIL Shipping A/S in 2001. This company was later renamed Camillo Eitzen (Denmark) A/S. The chemical tanker activities of Camillo Eitzen & Co developed further by organic growth and acquisitions of the French chemical tanker company Navale Française and the Spanish chemical tanker company Naviera Quimica in 2004. In 2006, the chemical activities of Camillo Eitzen (Denmark) A/S de-merged into Eitzen Chemical (Denmark) A/S. In August 2006, Eitzen Chemical entered into an agreement with Blystad Shipholding Inc to acquire Songa Shipholding AS and thereby Blystad’s chemical tanker fleet. The acquisition was completed on 5 October 2006. Simultaneously, Camillo Eitzen & Co’s chemical tanker business was transferred. Eitzen Chemical ASA was listed separately on the Oslo Stock Exchange on 2 November 2006.
On 27 January 2015 Team Tankers International Ltd and subsidiaries in Bermuda acquired, through an internal reorganization, the vessel owning activities previously carried out through subsidiaries in Singapore and Norway. On 25 February 2015 the stock listing application of Team Tankers International Ltd. on the Oslo Stock Exchange was approved, and the Company was stock listed on 9 March 2015 following a successful exchange offer where shares in Eitzen Chemical ASA was exchanged into shares in Team Tankers International Ltd.
Qualifications for Job Applicants

- Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
