Sycamore Global Shipping Corporation was incorporated and registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission on February 23,2010 primarily to own, purchase, charter in and charter out or otherwise acquire vessels, barges, bulk carrier, lighters, tugboats and other mercantile vessels of whatever class and description together with their equipment and appurtenances and to employ or operate the same in the carriage of dry bulk cargoes, goods, wares and merchandise of whatever description for domestic and international trade.

Qualifications for Job Applicants
The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.
- Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
