Spectrum Marine and Ship Management Inc. is a POEA Accredited Crew Management Agency and a Class NK certified Ship Management Company, incorporated in 2008 under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
SMSMI is also certified by Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) as an MLC2006 Compliant Manning Agency (License No. POEA-151-SB-121616-R-MLC) valid until 06 January 2021, approved to conduct recruitment and deployment of competent and qualified seafarers to foreign flagged ships of various types. We are also certified by Bureau Veritas as an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management compliant Company.
Our Senior Crew Management team is the embodiment of how we run the Crewing and Training Department and our Technical Department. Our team is composed of experienced Senior Officers with a combined experience in Passenger Ships, Dry Bulk Carriers, Container Ships, Car Carriers, Oil, Chemical and Gas Tankers and various types of Offshore Support Vessels.
Our success as Crew Manager is anchored on the basic business and management principles we have honed after years of Shipboard and Shore side experience. Together, we have a combined over 50 years of active seafaring service and another combined over 50 years of Shore Side Crewing and Technical Operational experience.

Qualifications for Job Applicants
The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.
- Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
