Seafarers Shipping, Inc. was founded by Captain Victor R. Miranda with the vision of providing more opportunities for his fellow Filipino seamen and sharing his experience in maritime industry. We started as a crew manning agency, with the successful manning of the first vessel providing a crew of 28 seamen to venturing into ship owning and ship management.
Today, we operate 58 ships manned by approximately 1,195 all Filipino officers and crews. We are privileged to be trusted by our long-time and new partners, this serves as a validation of our competency in Maritime Industry.

Qualifications for Job Applicants
The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.
- Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
