RIGEL Maritime Inc., is a Crew Management company engaged in the recruitment and deployment of Filipino seafarers onboard various type of ocean-going vessels trading worldwide.
We carry out recruitment and selection of qualified and competent seafarers, we handle the preparation of the crew prior to embarkation with strict adherence to statutory, and principals’ requirements. We manage and facilitate the deployment and training of our seafarers and plan strategic implementation of crew career advancement with the goal of providing long term benefit to the principals in terms of retention and to continuously aid the development of the seafarers in their profession. We manage crew repatriation, travel arrangements, payroll and allotment management.
We are licensed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) as a registered placement and service provider compliant with the conditions of the International Labour Organization / Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (ILO/MLC 2006) and is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines with no. Qualifications for Job Applicants
The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.
- Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
