NORLEN is an existing private entity registered at Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), certified by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Social Security System (SSS).
The Company was established on October 16, 1992 and was renamed NORLEN CREW MANAGEMENT INC. on October 30, 2009. Since then, NORLEN has been manning various type of vessels. Our European Principals express their satisfaction and commendation to our services and the internationally competitive seafarers supplied to their vessels. NORLEN is acknowledged by the Embassy of the United States of America, Panama and the United Kingdom. HSE POLICY STATEMENTS – It is the stated policy of NCM to ensure the health, safety and environment of all its employee. It is a high priority objective of our human resource management. HSE is a main responsibility, where each employee will be responsible for his/her part of the work. The management of NCM is responsible to implement the HSE policy at all times.
Qualifications for Job Applicants
The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.
- Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
