NAVIA Crewing Services, Inc. (formerly MEC Global Ship Management and Manning Corp.) was registered with the Security Exchange Commission (SEC) on 24 October 1991 as a Manning Agent, and is duly licensed by the Philippine Employment Overseas Administration (POEA) for Manning activities.
A Joint Venture between NAVIA and MMC was signed last 2 September 2015.

Qualifications for Job Applicants
The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.
- Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
