MAUNLAD TRANS INC. was established and organized on March 1992. It is registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC License Number AS0920000001769) and duly licensed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA License Number 190-SB0953113-R-MLC) under the Department of Labor and Employment to operate as a manning agency to recruit, process and deploy Filipino seamen overseas. We are ISO 9001:2008 certified by BUREAU VERITAS and MLC2006 certifed by POEA. We have a good membership standing with Filipino Association for Mariner’s Employment (FAME) and the Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council Inc. (PJMCC).

We are very proud that Maunlad Trans Inc. now competes with all big crewing agencies here in Manila and abroad, as a result of our hard work on preparing our officers and crew the best way possible by continuously upgrading their knowledge and technical know how under the International Safety Management (ISM) code guidelines, MARPOL 73/78 conventions, STCW 2010 Manila Amendments and the Maritime Labor Convention 2006 to prove to the ship owners that we have committed to them the crewing service they always have desired to get. We place great emphasis on excellence from our system of crew selection to the other services we perform.

Our company has been servicing as a crew manning agency for 25 years. We have provided 2,600 hotel crew on board luxury cruise ships. Majority of our well trained crew for passenger ships have a previous experience in five (5) star hotels prior to have them available for our supply reserves.

Our well educated and trained officers and crew have minimum of one (1) year of sea service on their present ranks. We have an ample supply of 1,500 component Deck and Engine officers and proficient ratings on continuous rotation basis. Merchant Marine officers with years of experience on dry cargo ships of all types and tanker vessels as well. Each applicant must pass rigid face to face interviews as well as medical, psychological and other necessary examinations to accurately establish their overall qualifications. We take our process a step further by conducting a thorough background checking of each selected applicant. Having a good moral character is in our top priority in the selection of candidates.

Also in line with our thrust towards excellence on our policy, we are requiring all selected crew to undergo hands-on training to their departure. this will further upgrade their knowledge and skills in accordance to the standards set by the ship’s owners or principals. we have tie-ups with various Maritime Training Centers, fully equipped with most modern simulator facilities to train our seafarers to further enhance their competency and proficiency skills.

We have agreement with different premier Maritime schools in the Philippines that provide us the best cadets we trained under our cadetship program; we provide them the required twelve (12) months onboard sea service experience for them to complete their Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Transportation and Marine Engineering to qualify them to take licensure examinations. After they have gotten their license and qualifications, then they will be part of our officers pooling and supply available to man vessels of our costumers.

Qualifications for Job Applicants

The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.

• Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
• Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
• Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
