The Manila office was established to complement the crewing requirements of GMH Global Maritime Holding (Singapore), which serves mainly German shipowners. Recognizing the country as a major source of manpower, GMM Global Maritime Manila is composed of experienced managers and staff with fresh perspectives and renewed dynamism in the maritime industry. At the helm of the company is Capt. Relly Jose, Jr., a true-blue master mariner and seasoned maritime professional, who as President and Director oversees the birth and continuous growth of the company. Graduating as class valedictorian of his BSMT class 1987 at the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU), Capt. Jose has almost 25 years of shipboard experience, 13 of which as master of different international commercial vessels. He also held significant shore-based positions in the Philippines and other countries, such as Shipbuilding Supervisor and Owner’s Representative. Capt. Jose is likewise an active member of Marine Sports Club and JBLFMU Alumni Association (Manila Chapter), and serves as consultant and honorary member of the Executive Board of JBLFMU (2014-2015). These credentials should serve well for GMM Global Maritime Manila as the company develops its stature in the crewing industry.

Qualifications for Job Applicants
The agency ensure that only Filipino workers are qualified and medically-fit are deployed. Hence, Filipino workers are medically examined by government-accredited medical clinics or hospitals and trade-tested or trained by training centers authorized by the government.
- Qualification of Seafarers – Only seafarers certified as competent and qualified shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Minimum Age – No person below eighteen (18) years old shall work, be employed or be engaged onboard a ship.
- Medical Certification – The seafarer shall hold a valid medical certificate issued by a medical facility duly accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) for that purpose, in accordance with its existing rules and regulations.
