DENTAL Hygienist
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a related dental care role.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Experience in dental cleaning, preventive care, patient education, and chairside assistance is an advantage.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, infection control procedures, and oral healthcare practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform professional dental cleaning by removing plaque, tartar, and stains from patients’ teeth.
- Examine patients for signs of oral diseases, including gingivitis, periodontal disease, and other oral health conditions.
- Take and develop dental X-rays in accordance with local regulations and clinic protocols.
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and dental sealants.
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, oral hygiene practices, and preventive dental care.
- Record and maintain accurate patient oral health histories and treatment records.
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatment planning when required.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, health regulations, and infection prevention standards.
- Promote a positive and comfortable experience for patients throughout their dental visits.
