Thomas Mining SARL is seeking a Machine Operator (Weighbridge Operator) to manage weighbridge operations and ensure the accurate weighing and documentation of vehicles entering and leaving the facility. The role supports warehouse, logistics, and mining operations by maintaining precise records, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, and promoting efficient traffic flow.
MACHINE OPERATOR (Weighbridge Operator)
Qualifications:
- Male, 25–35 years old.
- Minimum height of 170 cm (5’7″).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or weighbridge operations is an advantage.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate operational records.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and numerical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced industrial or mining environment.
- Willing to work in Congo and comply with company operational, safety, and documentation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the weighbridge to accurately weigh trucks and other vehicles entering and exiting the facility.
- Record gross, tare, and net weights for all vehicles in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs of all incoming and outgoing trucks, including cargo details and vehicle information.
- Verify delivery notes, transport documents, and shipping records before processing vehicles.
- Input weighing data into the company’s computerized system or manual logbooks accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, security, and operations personnel to facilitate smooth vehicle movement.
- Monitor weighbridge equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the weighbridge and surrounding work area.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly weighbridge reports as required by management.
- Assist with inventory, logistics, and warehouse documentation when needed.
- Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors.
